How to Change Your Password
Update the password you use to sign in to Sprk Pro. The Security tab form is not yet wired, so use the password reset flow from the login screen instead.
Before you start
You need to know the email address on your Sprk Pro account, plus access to that inbox.
The fastest way to change your password
The Change Password form on the Security tab is not yet connected to the backend, so submitting it will not actually update your password. Use the password reset flow instead. It works today and sets your new password the same way.
- Sign out, then go to the Log in screen.
- Click "Forgot password?" below the password field.
- Enter your email and click "Send Reset Link". You will see the message "If that email exists, we've sent a password reset link."
- Open the reset link in your email. It takes you to the reset screen.
- Enter your new password and click "Reset password". You will see "Your password has been reset successfully. Redirecting to login in 5 seconds."
- Log back in with your new password.
Where the Security tab lives
For reference, the password area sits under Settings in the left sidebar, then the Security tab, on a card titled Change Password with Current Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password fields (see screenshot). This is where in-app password changes will live once the form is connected. Until then, the reset flow above is the reliable path.
What happens next
Your new password takes effect immediately. Sign in with it on your next visit. If you do not receive the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the email tied to your account.
